My morning routine of coffee and journaling on the front porch is pushed back a bit day by day as sunrise comes later and later. It rained a bit overnight and it’s lovely, cool and damp this particular morning.

It’s Friday! I’m starting my last day of this vacation week with a big workout and an equally big breakfast burrito.

I got coffee and breakfast with my sister, at Ogden’s Kaffee Mercantile yesterday morning. It’s a lovely spot in the neighborhood where I grew up.

My work week starts with “service interruption to a major power line.” At least I got to make coffee first.

Pretty good coffee this morning.

Cappuccinos will continue until morale improves.

I got an espresso scale, so I can now be even more insufferable, with even greater precision, about my coffee.

Up early with my coffee and the tree.

Haven’t posted a coffee for a while – this one’s pretty good.

We have a small square of patio that’s a lovely spot to sit with coffee and a journal when the sun is coming up.
